Tired? Try Wellness Center's Sleep and Treats Event

Do you wake up in the morning sleepy? Are you falling asleep in class? Are you getting less than eight hours of sleep a night? Do you constantly feel worn down? Are you overly tired?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions you may want to attend the Wellness Center’s Sleep and Treats Event. More than 50 percent of St. Thomas students admit they don’t get enough sleep and have expressed a desire to learn better sleep habits.

The Wellness Center is answering the call with the Sleep and Treats Event, which will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 28, in the Koch Commons Fireside Room.

This event will focus on what you should and shouldn’t eat before bedtime. (Some foods have natural chemicals that cause sleepiness while others provide energy and keep you awake.)

At the Sleep and Treats Event the Wellness Center will be host to a game that quizzes your knowledge on which foods are healthy before bedtime and which ones are not. The person who answers the most questions correctly will win a free massage.

Other sleep-information games will be played, enjoy free refreshments, and there will be tips to take with you when you leave.
