Human Resources Department announces implementation of Talent Management System; schedules training dates for student supervisors

The Human Resources Department is pleased to announce the implementation of the Talent Management System, a new employment-opportunities Web site for student supervisors, on Monday, Aug. 6.

This new site is designed to make the employment process more efficient and accessible for both students and student supervisors – all online. Although this is the same system that currently encompasses the staff and faculty processes, the student process is significantly different, and all supervisors need to be trained on the system.

Training Dates

  • Tuesday, Aug. 7
    1-4 p.m.
    Murray-Herrick Campus Center
    Room 155
  • Thursday, Aug. 9
    9 a.m.-noon
    Terrence Murphy Hall
    Room 401
  • Monday, Aug. 13
    1-4 p.m.
    Murray-Herrick Campus Center
    Room 155
  • Thursday Aug. 23
    9 a.m.-noon
    Terrence Murphy Hall
    Room 401

The training sessions have been split into two parts. The first section will be an overview of the student employment process and tools on managing student employees. The second session will be hands-on training of the student employment aspect of TMS. Student managers can register for the whole session or just the TMS training session.

Those unable to attend a training session can contact Human Resources, (651) 962-6510, for more information on the system.

Listed below are just a few of the advantages of the Talent Management System:

  • User friendly – Students can apply quickly and easily online.
  • Ease of use – No more managing applicant materials through e-mail; simply log into the system to manage your applicant pool.
  • Accessibility– Jobs are accessible to both students and student supervisors from anywhere with Internet access.
  • Quicker job placements – Student supervisors can view résumés and take action immediately.

To register for training go to Training Online, call (651) 962-6900, or e-mail the Leadership Academy.
