Dr. David Williard Named Faculty Director of the Selim Center for Lifelong Learning

History Professor Dr. David Williard has been named as the new faculty director of the Selim Center for Lifelong Learning, effective July 1. Bob Shoemake, Selim's current director, is retiring at the end of this month. Williard, who joined St. Thomas in 2012, brings extensive experience with the Selim Center, having served as a frequent lecturer, advisory board member, and program collaborator since 2015.

Time Off Reporting for Salaried Employees Is Changing

Time Off Reporting image
There is a change coming Tuesday, July 1, to how salaried employees report their time off. The change will occur as the university moves from "Classic" Murphy into "New" Murphy. The change will reflect a new time off reporting system through which all salaried employees submit their Earned Sick & Safe Time (ESST), Vacation and Floating Holiday time off requests.

University of St. Thomas School of Law Professor Mark Osler spoke to The Associated Press and Dr. Yohuru Williams talked with MPR News regarding the attack on two Minnesota lawmakers.
