A representative from Teach For America, named one of Fortune magazine’s 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2011, will present an informational session on Wednesday, Jan. 11.
According to its website, “Teach For America is growing the movement of leaders who work to ensure that kids growing up in poverty get an excellent education."
A nonprofit organization, Teach For America recruits committed recent college graduates of all backgrounds to teach for two years in urban and rural public schools, and trains and develop these corps members so that they have an immediate positive impact on their students.
The information session will be held from noon to 12:45 p.m. in Room 152, Murray-Herick Campus Center. All majors are invited to attend.
