Volunteers in Action offers local opportunities
Challenge yourself – change our word through Volunteers In Action.
Volunteers In Action is a student-led organization that works with community organizations mentoring children, providing positive role models to underprivilaged children, and sharing time with people on the margins of society.
Volunteers meet new people, make new friends and enjoy the community around us through service.
Volunteers In Action is offering five volunteer sites throughout the community, including: Adopt-A-Grandparent, Junior Tommies, The Listening House, CLUES, and The Boys and Girls Club. All sites require only one to two hours of service a week, and carpools are available.
Stop by the Center for Community Partnerships, Room 153, Hurray-Herrick Campus Center, with questions or e-mail Bridget O'Neill.
Applications are available at the Center for Community Partnerships and need to be returned no later than Friday, Feb. 8.
