Saluting the Class of 2025

St. Thomas is proud to celebrate our 2025 graduates! The entire St. Thomas community is invited to join in the festivities and cheer on these soon-to-be Tommie alumni during a weekend full of special events:
March Out of the Arches: Graduating seniors, come celebrate alongside your classmates at March Out of the Arches. Family and friends are also welcome to cheer on the Class of 2025. The march gets underway at 4 p.m. on Friday, May 23, at the Arches.
Commencement Mass: Join us to honor the Class of 2025 at a commencement Mass. Everyone is welcome at the Cathedral of St. Paul, 239 Selby Ave. Mass begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 23.
Commencement Ceremonies: The 2025 ceremonies will take place indoors on Saturday and Sunday in the Anderson Athletic and Recreation Complex field house, and tickets will be required for all guests. For those who cannot make it in person, all ceremonies will be available for livestream viewing. |

School of Law Celebrates 2025 Commencement

The University of St. Thomas School of Law conferred degrees to 170 students on May 17, 2025, in Minneapolis. This year's elected student speaker Marian Farah called on her fellow grads to "integrate faith and reason in the search for truth – to pursue justice with both intellect and conscience." Read more |

Lee & Penny Anderson Arena Opens in October With Hockey Games vs. Providence

After nearly a year of construction and years of planning, St. Thomas is set to open the highly anticipated Lee & Penny Anderson Arena this fall. The state-of-the-art facility will welcome fans for the first time on Friday, Oct. 24, when the Tommie men's and women's hockey teams face off against the Providence Friars in a historic opening night doubleheader. Tommie Baseball Earns Second Straight Summit League Title

In its season finale on the road at Northern Colorado, St. Thomas Baseball clinched its second straight Summit League regular season title. The Tommies defeated the Bears 16-7 on Saturday, May 17, to remain atop the 2025 standings and return home as champs. Read more |

Congratulations to Dr. Heidi Giebel, Department of Philosophy, recipient of the 2025 Curricular Innovation in Sustainability Award. The Curricular Innovation in Sustainability Award recognizes faculty for innovation and excellence in integrating sustainability into a single course. Giebel received this year's award for her innovative integration of sustainability into her section of PHIL 350: Ethics for undergraduates at Saint John Vianney College Seminary. Read more |

May 29: RJI AfterClass to Explore History of Twin Cities Racial Injustice
|
|
|
Join a special Racial Justice Initiative AfterClass in partnership with the Minnesota Star Tribune. RJI founding director, Dr. Yohuru Williams, will join other experts to explore the history that brought us to 2020 and the murder of George Floyd. Tickets are required at $10 each and the event gets underway at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, at the Sabathani Community Center in Minneapolis. Learn more
