You're invited to join this first lecture in the lecture series, "Nicaea 325-2025: Celebrating the 1700th Anniversary of the Council of Nicaea," which will explore the impact and significance on both the Catholic and Orthodox Churches. Taking place from 3:30-4:30 p.m. April 28, in McNeely 100, the event's speaker is Father Evan Koop, a priest of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, who graduated from The Saint Paul Seminary at the University of St. Thomas in 2012. April 29: Emily Dickinson Reading Marathon

For National Poetry Month, St. Thomas will host its fourth Emily Dickinson Reading Marathon on April 29, 8 a.m.- 9:30 p.m. in Room 108 at the O'Shaughnessy-Frey Library. Readers from across the St. Thomas community will drop in to take turns reading Dickinson's poems aloud, in order, from No. 1 to No. 1,789. Visitors are encouraged to come and go throughout the day. Father Christopher Collins '93, SJ, vice president for mission at the University of St. Thomas, was interviewed by numerous media outlets regarding the passing of Pope Francis. Alex Lenzmeier, a University of St. Thomas student currently studying in Rome on our Bernadi Campus, was also interviewed about Pope Francis.
Dr. Todd Lawrence, a professor at the College of Arts and Sciences, was quoted in The Washington Post regarding the Freedom Rides Museum. The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) recently placed the federal facility on a list of buildings that could be sold.
Dr. Ali Ling, assistant professor of civil engineering at the University of St. Thomas School of Engineering, spoke to WCCO Radio on PFAS in Minnesota drinking water.
