Tommie Men's Soccer will host Detroit Mercy at 1 p.m., Aug. 20, home at south field for their regular season opener. This begins a three-game homestand where the Tommies are also slated to face Green Bay at 1 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 23, and Chicago State at 1 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 27. All spectators can attend these games free of charge.

Aug. 27: Tommie Football Opens Season at Home
|
|
|
|
Tommie Football will begin its 2026 season squaring off against Winona State 6 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 27, home at O'Shaughnessy Stadium. This year's roster features 11 athletes who are named a Phil Steele Preseason All-PFL honoree. The Tommies enter their sixth season as a Division I program.

Missy Majerus to Serve as Interim Dean of Students

|
|
|
Dr. Melissa "Missy" Majerus is serving as interim dean of students for St. Thomas as of Monday, Aug. 17 while a permanent successor to the role is hired to replace Linda Baughman, who is now vice president for Student Affairs. During the interim period, Majerus will continue in her role as the university's Title IX/EO/ADA coordinator and will work closely with Kari Hohn from an external Title IX consulting firm whose role serves as a deputy Title IX coordinator.

Ashley Walker Named Interim Head at School of Nursing

|
|
Dr. Ashley Walker will serve as interim executive director of the Susan S. Morrison School of Nursing following the Sept. 25 departure of Executive Director Dr. Annette Hines. Walker has served for the past three years as program director for the Master of Science in Nursing program. Hines, who joined St. Thomas in 2023, has been named associate director and professor of nursing at Pfeiffer University in her home state of North Carolina.
